MARCH 12 & 13, 2016 at Sudbury’s Holiday Inn

THE FIRST ANNUAL NORTHERN ONTARIO QUILTING SYMPOSIUM

SAT., MARCH 12, 2016 - OPEN THREAD BAR™ WORKSHOP

Have you ever wanted to experiment with different threads before buying them? Well now you can.

We’ll bring the thread and you bring your machine. Enjoy a full day of using all the Superior Threads, and see how they perform in your machine.

Learn how to choose the correct needles, and how to overcome your fear of the tension dial. We’ll discuss the properties of different threads available today so you can make an informed (and inspired) decision when choosing thread.

SKILL LEVEL: Suitable for all skill levels.                           $100

SUN., MARCH 13, 2016 - APPLIQUE BUFFET WORKSHOP

Have a taste of various machine appliqué techniques and sample some new products that are available to simplify the process.

Learn both turned edge invisible and fused decorative methods.

You’ll learn how to choose the correct needles, and overcome common fears of the tension dial.

This is a stress free day focussing on process rather than project.

You will have samplers of all the techniques for future reference.

SKILL LEVEL: Suitable for all skill levels.                           $100
