Dissected Hourglass Workshop : Hosted by the Onaping Falls Quilters Guild

Carla will be teaching a One Day Workshop called Dissecting Hourglass. In this workshop, she will be working with 10” layer cakes and 5” charm squares to create several different sized projects.

This little bag is so useful. You can use it as a toiletry bag, a sewing bag or the large size will fit a small iron. It has a wire in the opening that folds flat and makes it so handy and professional looking. The key to this bag is in the interfacing. You need to use fusible fleece or foam to make it stiff. Quilt it before you cut the pattern and you will love this bag! I hope you can come sew with me.

Pattern makes two sizes of bags. Small size 8-1/2" LX 5"h X 4" w. Large size 11" LX 6-1/2" h X 7-1/4" w

This is a technique class to become familiar with the Rapid Fire Hunter’s Star™ “Petite” ruler by Studio 180 Design. In this class, you will master the use of the tool to create a Hunter’s Star block, layout options and many tips and tricks for precision piecing. Depending on your speed of sewing, uyou should be well on your way to completing the runner.

Lets talk about Colour

I will be in Espanola with the quilters of the Pins and Needles Quilters Guild. We will be discussing terminology, principles and ways to boost confidence when choosing colours for our quilts.

I will be at the Elliot Lake Quilters Guild presenting a Studio 180 tools and techniques Lecture and Trunk Show.

Fundamentals is a series of 3 classes covering the 6 of the most common fundamental tools and their technique sheets produced my Studio 180 Design. We will be working through each tool and investigating all the possibilities they have to offer. A great course for both beginner and experienced quilter.
