Our early morning visiter - trying to escape the black-flies.
Hello Friends. Its that time of year again when the outside chores compete with the inside chores. Thank God for black-flies! What? Are you crazy, Carla? Well, with the amount of black-flies and mosquitos here in Northern Ontario, you can not stay outside and plant all day. So here's my schedule: Long arm in the morning, outside chores like planting and such in the afternoon and quilting after supper. You see this way, I'm inside when the bugs are bad and I have an excuse to "Keep on Quilting"! :)
A customer quilt I have been working on for our Quilt Show in the fall.
It is also that time of year when the Quilting guilds wind down for the summer and have their Year End workshops and Banquets. I was honoured to be asked to be a guest at the Year End Banquet for the Rayside Balfour Quilters Guild. I have had the pleasure of giving some workshops and lectures to the quilter there, and it was such a treat to visit with everyone and share quilting stories. Thank-you so much ladies!
The sharing of great food and friendship!
A few weeks ago I hinted that I was working on a very exciting project. Well, I can now proudly share my news. I was the featured pattern designer in the summer issue of the Canadian Quilters Association Magazine. I made a small topper for the magazine which I had so much fun designing. My thanks goes out to all of you for all your kind words and support.

I have been receiving pictures from some of the quilters who joined me in April for the Northern Neighbours workshop. Lorraine finished her bed-runner and I just had to share.
Well that about does it for now. Until next time, stay safe, wear bug repellant, and keep quilting!
