Back at it after Holidays and Family time!

Hello Friends.  Sorry for my absence.  When our youngest comes home for a visit from the UK I just focus on family time together. There has been Erin’s wedding cerebrations, girls weekend (in leu of bridal showers) and meet and greet parties.  My mommy heart if full again and might last until the next family visit in October, when we all head to England for the wedding.  For now, its back at it, full steam ahead.  With spring on our doorstep, and a full docket of workshops. So lets get up to speed with what has been happening at the studio this past month.

I am super excited to share with you my news.  One of my quilts has been accepted into the National Juried Show at Quilt Canada this June.  The Show takes place in Vancouver this year.  I will be unable to attend, but just getting in has been an honour.

If you are planning to attend, keep and eye out for my quilt.

River Rocks is now in print and ready for sale.  With the release of my patterns I have added a Store section to my website where you can purchase my patterns.

Also added to my website is a Gallery section. This is where I will post pictures of your quilts and projects from any of the workshops that you have taken with me.  So, If you haven’t done so already - send along those photos and I can start adding to the collection.

April is shaping up to be a busy month for quilting.  With the snow going and driving conditions not a factor, workshops are in full swing.

The Northern Ontario Quilting Symposium takes place April 14th and 15th.  Class space is not limited in numbers so if you are still thinking of attending, give me a ring and we can register you.  You don’t want to miss out on this informative workshop with Tracey Russell.

If you have never done Free Motion Quilting on your Domestic sewing machine and would like to get the low down on the How to’s - I will be in Sturgeon Falls on April 28th at Diane’s Creative Elements, giving my one day introduction to Free Motion Quilting.  To register call the shop at (705)753-4545

April 19th has me in Barrie Ontario where I will be presenting my trunk show to the quilters of the Kempenfelt Quilters Guild.  Hello to all in Barrie and I am so looking forward to my visit.

A new quilt in the studio this month.  Star Shadows uses my favourite tool the Wing Clipper™.  It is fast and fun and a great learning quilt for playing with value.  This is one that I will be teaching in May in Cobalt Ontario at a Retreat.

Hubby and I are having a quiet “do your own thing” Easter Weekend. So guess where I’m heading? That’s right - and I hear my fabric calling!  I would like to wish all of you a Happy and Safe Easter Weekend.  Thanks for dropping by.  Until next time, stay safe, quilt lots and enjoy the chocolate.
