A Time For Quilting

Hello Friends!  A belated Happy New Year!   The girls are back to their respective homes, and the Christmas decorations are packed away.  The only remains of the holidays are the leftover chocolates, baking and cheese.  The weather held out for the holidays, as we were able to enjoy some wonderful afternoon walks on the trails on our property.  Brody keeps walking into the girls rooms looking in as if to say, "Hey were did everyone go!"  We (Erin, Lauren and I) were able to get Laurens' quilt finished in time for her to take it back to London.  I will post pictures when she sends them my way.  I haven't jumped into any major quilting as of yet.  I have some projects to clean up before I tackle something new. I have been working on getting things ready for my workshops that are coming up in the next couple of months.  The tops are done, now to get around to quilting them.

This week will be spent tying up 2014, as this is the time of year we get the paper work ready for the tax man!  :(  But like my mom used to say, "just get it done!"

Erin went home with some fabric from "Mom's" stash, a few "Tucker rulers" and patterns.  Now this is the daughter who does not like rules.  She is more of a free spirit kind of quilter.  Well, with no help from Mom, look what she did!

This is a table runner pattern by "Deb Tucker".  I think she did an amazing job.  It will come home to be quilted.

With the holidays behind us, its a good time to set new goals for 2015.  My ever growing teaching schedule, and call for new patterns, have made me make some decision with regards to my focus this year.  I will be taking a "time out", from long arm quilting for my customers.  My attention for the next 6 months will be on teaching, developing new patterns and workshops.  Oh, I'm so excited to see what 2015 will bring.

Well, it's getting late!  Thanks for dropping by.  Until next time, stay safe, stay out of the ditch, and keep quilting.
