Hello Friends. Well the Carolina Lily (pattern by Deb Tucker of Studio 180 designs) workshop is officially underway. The last few days have been spent polishing up the details. I am still trying to get the brochure onto my blog, so bare with me a few more days. In the mean time here are the highlights:
October 20, 21, 2014 at the Quality Inn, Sudbury, Ontario
CLASS
In this “Tuckerized” version of a traditional Carolina Lily wall hanging, there are no “y”-seams to
sew and no need for paper piecing. Quilters will learn to work with the Carolina Lily block using
Deb Tucker’s Wing Clipper 1 ruler and Studio 180 principles of making units larger and trimming
to the exact size. With multiple techniques covered during this class, new design possibilities
and exciting opportunities for creativity are opened once quilters master the primary
construction methods. By the end of the class, quilters will be well on their way to completing
the Carolina Lily wall-hanging.

As September draws closer,its time to make plans for the fall. I have met with Cindy at Cindy B’s Quilt Shop, to discuss classes at the shop. The Carolina Lily Workshop is scheduled for October 20,21, 2014. That’s a Monday and Tuesday, just to be different. I also have ready Part Two of a Free Motion Machine Quilting Class called “Stencils and Templets,” (date and location to be announced). This all proves to be a very exciting and busy few months. Please feel free to let me know if your group or guild are looking for any specific quilting classes, I’d be happy to put something together for you.
