Absents makes the heart grow fonder? ….ok, ok. I’ve been busy! It’s Christmas and there doesn’t seem to be much time to sit down and smell the roses. Finally, after what seems like weeks of preparation, the end is in sight!
I thought I’d share with you a few of my new Christmas decorative projects. First, my homespun primitive garland:

It was made with two different coloured homespun fabrics and I washed it to fluff it out. I just love country!

Next is this year’s acquisition: The Snowball Candlemat. This is a pattern designed by Lisa Bongeon of Primitive Gatherings. One of my bestest quilting buddies made it for me.

When my students came for class that week they loved it so much that they had to make one of their own. You should of heard the wining after they found out how small the little squares it the corners where!

I am certainly feeling more “festive” now that the seasonal rush of Christmas quilts is over.
Now, I can sit down and plan the last sprint before my husband starts holidays, my children invade my house and 5 hours of cooking gets devoured in a 45 minute meal! Sighhhhh. I love the holidays!

As 2013 comes to an end, I’d like to take this time to thank all of you for sharing my love of quilting.

May love and happiness surround you this holiday season
From my house to yours, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
