A One Day workshop with the Rayside-Balfour Quilters Guild

The traditional Birds in the Air block is strip pieced with no triangles to cut, no bias edges to sew, and – the best yet – the design possibilities are endless! Recently, the traditional method has been improved upon making piecing the Birds in the Air block, faster and more precise. Students willlearn to work with the Birds in the Air block by making units larger and trimming to the exact size. The workshop will also cover the One Makes Two approach to sewing this fun little block which opens the doors to endless quilt designs while playing with colour and value.
